The API integration project pictured at left integrates our client’s SAP system with their shipment tracking application using custom-built APIs. There are two delivery processes involved. In the first method, we use API calls for both Inbound and Outbound processes to create a shipment, get a quote (charges) back from the shipment tracking application, auto-book the parcel, and generate other necessary documents for additional processing.
In the second delivery method, nine APIs are used to create shipment and purchase orders directly in the shipment tracking application. When any new shipments are created manually in the application, the data will be retrieved and updated in the SAP using a webhook method. We also created a common shipment tracking report in SAP for both delivery methods using data logs.
Impact Group also provided a Training Manual for end users of the new system.
